My good friend April told me about an old Pepsi advertisement that she saw yesterday on the side of the Telly’s Restaurant that was being torn down. Â She said I should get my camera and go take some pics of it because it looked like it was from a long time ago. Â So, I decided to bring my camera with me to work today so I could get some shots of it.
As soon as I laid eyes on the advertisement, I knew it was old. Â I didn’t know how old until I researched the slogan “Now It’s Pepsi For Those Who Think Young”.
Pepsi used that slogan between 1961 and 1964 (Wikipedia). Â That means it’s possible it has been on the wall for at least 49 years.

I also didn’t know that building was A&E Party Store before it was Telly’s Restaurant.
I researched A&E Party Store but could not find a single thing on it. Â I also researched Telly’s Restaurant to see if I could find out when it first opened. Â No luck.
UPDATE: Â Thanks to some help from Facebook friends, I was given the following link that states Telly’s Restaurant was established in 1975. Â That means the advertisement was covered up ~38 years ago. Â That explains why it is still in excellent condition.
